150th Civil War Commemorative Logotype Battle of First Manassas/Bull Run
The City of Manassas is commemorating the 150th Civil War anniversary of the Battle of First Manassas, July 21-24, 2011.
Allan Guy was honored to design the official logotype for this event. His logotype pays respect to the lives of those joined here, at the historic site of the first major battle of the Civil War.
This mark features a 16 year-old volunteer soldier, William Askew, who fought in many engagements in Virginia, was a prisoner of war, and lived to survive the bloody conflict.
The logotype was unveiled during a presentation of the signed artwork to Mayor Harry "Hal" Parrish on January 10, 2010.
Various promotional items and marketing campaigns, created for the City of Manassas, The Manassas Museum System, Historic Manassas, Inc., and various Old Town Manassas merchants, currently feature this official logotype.
